YACEP Courses

Our YACEP courses offer yoga practitioners and teachers an opportunity for personal and professional growth through transformative, mindful practices. Mindful Inclusivity: Teaching Yoga with a DEIB Lens equips yoga teachers with the tools to create inclusive, welcoming spaces that honor diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, while Empowerment Through Practice: Transformative Yoga for Mindful Living guides participants on a personal healing journey using yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness techniques. Both courses foster deeper connections with self and others, empowering individuals to create mindful, transformative experiences in their lives and communities.

Mindful Inclusivity: Teaching Yoga with a DEIB Lens

This advanced training course provides yoga teachers with the knowledge and tools to create inclusive, welcoming spaces that honor Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). Participants will explore how to adapt their teaching approach to serve students from diverse backgrounds and abilities, ensuring everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered in their yoga practice. Through reflective discussions, interactive activities, and practical teaching exercises, yoga teachers will deepen their understanding of mindful inclusivity, from cueing and modifications to cultural awareness and trauma sensitivity.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this 20-hour course, participants will be able to:

  1. Define Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and its relevance to the yoga space.

  2. Cultivate a self-awareness practice to reflect on personal biases and assumptions.

  3. Modify yoga teaching methods to create a more inclusive environment, honoring body diversity, cultural backgrounds, and varying levels of ability.

  4. Integrate trauma-informed and accessible yoga principles into teaching.

  5. Build community and create spaces of belonging for students with different identities, ensuring everyone feels welcomed and respected.

  6. Apply inclusive language, cueing, and mindful adjustments in yoga classes.

Empowerment Through Practice: Transformative Yoga for Mindful Living

This immersive course is designed for those who seek personal transformation through a deeper connection with their yoga practice.
